From playful moments and belly laughs to the quiet in-between snuggles, my goal is to create relaxed, heartfelt images that feel true to your family. I’ll guide you through the session naturally so you can focus less on posing and more on simply being together

Locations need to be within 30 minutes of Petersburg, MI. Photographer can suggest multiple locations! If you have a location in mind, add that to your inquiry and we can see if that works for lighting and travel!
tips to bring your session to life
This is my first photoshoot, what should I know?
If this is your first professional photoshoot, don’t worry — you do not need to know how to pose or what to do. I’ll guide you every step of the way with natural prompts and direction to help everyone feel comfortable and relaxed. The best photos come from genuine connection and interaction, so come ready to laugh, cuddle, play, and simply enjoy time together as a family.
What should we wear?
To help create timeless, cohesive images, I recommend choosing outfits in neutral or earthy tones with soft textures and minimal logos or busy patterns. Coordinating colors rather than perfectly matching outfits photographs beautifully and keeps the focus on your family’s connection. Most importantly, wear something you feel comfortable and confident in — if you feel good, it will show in your photos. I also encourage families to relax, have fun, and not stress about perfection. The sweetest moments often happen naturally in between the posed ones.
What if the weather is bad on the day of an outdoor shoot?
If the weather doesn’t cooperate for your outdoor session, don’t stress — I always keep an eye on the forecast leading up to your shoot. In the case of heavy rain, strong winds, or unsafe conditions, we can reschedule for another date that works for everyone. Cloudy skies are actually beautiful for photos, so overcast weather alone usually won’t affect your session.
